At Kianda Foundation, our mission goes beyond providing basic needs—we strive to empower the next generation, fostering their growth through experiences that build confidence, resilience, and joy. On August 21st, this mission came to life in a remarkable way as we joined forces with Padel Kenya and Queen Deli to create an unforgettable day for 20 children from Umoja Primary School in Limuru.
These children, like many others in vulnerable communities, face daily challenges that can limit their potential. But on this special day, they were given an opportunity to step outside of their routine, to learn, to play, and to dream. Thanks to the generosity of Padel Kenya’s clients and the tireless efforts of their dedicated volunteers, we introduced them to the vibrant sport of padel—a new experience that was as much about fun as it was about personal growth.
The children were excited as they picked up their rackets, many for the first time. With guidance from the Padel Kenya coaches—Brian, Mara, Radha, and Hilary—they quickly learned the basics of the game. But more than just mastering a sport, these children were learning invaluable life lessons. Through each swing of the racket, they discovered the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and self-belief.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the individuals who made this day possible. Kate, Shivani, Moiz, Wim, Alyssa, Alyana, Jodie, and Faisal did more than just play alongside the children; they became role models, showing them that their dreams are within reach. These moments of connection and encouragement are what truly make a difference in the lives of these young ones.

The donations received will enable us to continue supporting these children, ensuring they have access to essential health, nutrition, and educational resources.
