Kianda is a local word meaning “Fertile valley”, where everything planted flourishes. Not in vain was the name chosen over 50 years ago. The foundation has been at the service of women in Kenya, promoting their education and looking after their welfare.

Kianda Foundation, now a well-established nonprofit making organization, has numerous educational institutions to its credit.
